PRAYING TO EDUCATE POOR AND STREET KIDS
India is home to the world's largest population of street kids, estimated at 18 million. These dangerously exposed and often unprotected children are subject to malnutrition, disease, all kinds of abuse, sexual exploitation as well as criminal dangers of many kinds. While India's Government has taken many steps to protect these kids, the problems and the dangers continue to grow.
Those of these kids who do have parents still live in small unsanitary huts or tents with difficult conditions. They work many hours leaving their kids neglected usually unable to go to school as their income is not sufficient even for food and shelter. Unsupervised and uneducated many of these kids turn to crime for their own food and livelihood.
Our hearts break for this great social evil in our nation. Yet our greatest concern is for the salvation of each of these kids. Therefore our primary concern is, to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to teach God’s Word to every child and their families. Only God has the love and the power to seek and to save that which is lost and we believe God’s power in the Gospel alone can change lives, families and communities.
These kids are found in Juvenile Homes (Children’s Prison) in India. Some Children are kept there on account of their crimes while many children are found orphaned on streets and kept there. Kids are found orphaned on the streets because of poverty and broken families. By reaching these poor and street kids we can prevent them from going to Juvenile Homes.
We have a great desire to provide an education to these Kids as this is the only way they can get out of poverty and have a bright future.
By the grace of God, we are building a Christian Educational Facility in Tirupati City, Andhra Pradesh State, INDIA and praying to provide free education to these kids.
